Street Art Streets presents new mural in Havenkwartier
In November Egbert Scheffer and Laurien Mink will open their new event location PUNT. As founder of Street Art Streets, Egbert naturally also wants a beautiful mural on his new building. Laurien and Egbert have been a big fan of artist “I AM EELCO” for years and together with Street Art Streets they invited him to create a beautiful work of art in Deventer.

Street Art Streets and PUNT invite artist Eelco van den Berg, better known as I AM EELCO, to provide the striking wall of the bottom shed with a beautifully colorful mural. The artwork is inspired by the story of the Havenkwartier, the bodenloods and what will take place in PUNT in the future. Eelco van den Berg makes beautiful works all over the world. And won several awards. He is an illustrator, painter and graffiti artist. His work is mainly drawn by hand and is distinguished by his strong use of powerful color palettes and lines, combined with highly decorative elements.
Fourth large mural in Deventer
After Joren Joshua, who made the first mural in 2018 in honor of Deventer 1250, the gentlemen of Street Arts Streets presented the second mural by Johan Moorman in April 2019 as part of Wesselings van Breemen's 50th anniversary and presented it a month later. they have their third wall or rather a staircase. The railway bridge staircase was specially taken care of by artist Danny Rumble for the 'Nature Park Deventer IJsseloevers' project. Now in November 2019 it is time for the fourth wall and it is located in the Havenkwartier.
Street Art Streets slowly makes dreams come true
The Street Art Streets project is an initiative of Deventenaren Mano Scherpbier and Egbert Scheffer. They believe that the city could use some extra stubbornness and innovation. Our dream is to create fifty murals throughout the municipality of Deventer, each of which tells its own story about the city. ' says Egbert. Meanwhile, the gentlemen of Street Art Streets are slowly realizing their dream. There are already quite a few new plans in the pipeline for 2020. Of course Mano and Egbert are always looking for suitable large visible walls in the municipality of Deventer, tips are always welcome.
